Install Your eSIM

Two simple ways to get connected instantly

Optional: while adding the eSIM, you can give it the name "Astaroam" so it is easy to recognise later. This step is not required.

Install the eSIM

Open your My eSIM page (tap the link in your Astaroam email) on the phone you will travel with. Then do one of these:

Tap to install

Tap the Install eSIM button. Tap Continue, then Add eSIM.

Or

Use the QR code

On this same phone, press and hold the QR code, then tap Add eSIM. Or, with the QR code on another screen, open your Camera and point it at the code.

Turn the line on

Tap your new eSIM (the line you just added, named Astaroam if you chose to), then turn on Turn On This Line.

Turn on Data Roaming

Tap your eSIM and turn on Data Roaming. You can do this before you fly.

Choose your data line

Choose your eSIM for data, then turn off "Allow Mobile Data Switching". Do this when you arrive.

You're connected

Once all the steps are done, it takes a minute or two to connect when you arrive in the country. That's it.

With the QR code on another screen, open your Camera and point it at the code, then tap the message that pops up.

Switch the eSIM on

Open SIM Manager (Samsung) or SIMs (Pixel and others). Find your new eSIM (named Astaroam if you chose to) and make sure its switch is turned on.

Turn on Data Roaming

Tap your eSIM and turn on Data Roaming. You can do this before you fly.

Choose your data line

In SIM Manager, find Mobile data and choose your eSIM. Do this when you arrive.

You're connected

Once all the steps are done, it takes a minute or two to connect when you arrive in the country. That's it.
